We're back from our impulsive trip to Vegas! Actually, we've been back for just over a week, but I'm just now getting a chance to blog about it. We both came back to working through the rest of last week and working like mad through this week. Both of us have had crazy work schedules so it's not like we're thrilled to be back, honestly. We usually like to have another vacation lined-up, something else for us to look forward to. Our next trip is Seattle in early September! Yay!
Vegas was just awesome! We had such a great time! We were walking around the MGM's casino and we were stopped right in front of the theater where KA was playing (one of the cirque da solue shows) by this very nice couple who asked if we wanted to see the show that night for free. They had pre-ordered their two tickets, but were sent four-only paid for the two. They wre $165 tickets each and they were giving them away, for free! We agreed, the show was starting in 10 minutes, we sat in great seats, right next to the generous couple and it was an awesome! They were fun to sit next to and they were just thrilled that they were able to do that for another couple. The next day outside of the Tropicana, we played a big slot machine and won two tickets to a magic show with Derk Arthur and his Tigers! That was a fun one, too! So we saw two free shows!
We had a great room, a Starbucks just downstairs in the lobby, plenty to eat, fun at the pool, etc.
Just look at these excited tourists!

This is our "strip view" from our 12th floor room...oh well, we could see the Monte Carlo and the New York! New York! Hotels.
The MGM was on the same corner as the New York! New York! (pictured below), the Tropicana, and The Excalibur, so we were able to take the skywalk across to each one.
Me, dressed for the night out on the town, chowing down on McDonalds! Classic Amanda!

Outside at The Paris
Outside the Bellagio..we stood to watch the musical water fountain and this forgein guy was singing at the top of his lungs with the music! We tried not to laugh.

Gambling Fun!
Dan entered a slot tournament! This was so fun to watch! He played against 19 other people and came in 6th. You pay $20 to enter, race to play the 2,000 credits they give you and after 10 minutes, the highest score of winnings wins $1,000! For the first half, I was getting excited after walking around to take a look at the scores and he was in 1st place!

The lazy river at the MGM that we decided was too over crowded by drunk idiots, so we went back to our other private pool

Sad now that we have to leave!

We had four fun-filled days on vacation! It was hotter in Vegas, like 105 degrees, but coming back home, it felt hotter with our high humidity! It feels hotter here in Michigan at 86! Vegas was much more comfortable and dryer! THAT is what I miss!
