Well, this weekend was kind-of a bust. I was holding off on blogging until after we got back from our weekend trip to Traverse City. The plan was to go hang out with Frank and the rest of the family and celebrate Frankie’s 10th Birthday. We didn’t end up going because the birthday boy wasn’t feeling very well. Everyone ended up staying in town. There has been some talk about trying again this weekend, but we’re not sure. I'd really love to see the fall colors up there!
Newsworthy Items:
This next weekend is when we've usually had a Halloween party! We used to host a Halloween party each year with our firefighter friends. That was always so fun! I’m so glad we decided against hosting the Halloween party, though. If we had decided to go ahead with the party, I would have been hard pressed to find a good costume before this weekend…for both of us!! Now, my only deadline is the day before Halloween so I can dress up for work. My boss thinks Halloween is the greatest Holiday ever and she always goes a bit overboard when decorating our office! Last year, I walked in to our office, and she had a strobe light set up with the lights off! She loves it! I think this year, I’ll be a simple cowgirl. Michelle has invited Dan and I to walk with her and the kids as they Trick-Or-Treat through their neighborhood. I would like to go watch them! Michaela is going to be Dorthy, from The Wizard of Oz, and Ryan wants to be a dinosaur! After, we may head over to Frank's and do the same!
A few weeks from now, our good friends Jeremey and Ellen are moving in across the street from us! They signed the paperwork last week! We're very excited to have Jeremey as a neighboor again..he lived one building over when we lived in the apartment. Since then, he's been dating Ellen who currently lives about an hour away. She got a job here in town and now they will be close to us! We hope to have them over for a little pumpkin carving party one of these nights!
In other exciting news, Shauna is going to have her baby girl any day now! I'm so excited and I know she'll do great! She wil be so cute and loved! I can't wait to meet her in December!
And, last but not least, we bought our tickets to Seattle for Christmas!!! Yay! We are very excited to be going home! But, before we do, we'll be making a weekend pit-stop in......VEGAS! Yes, we are official tacky and headed to a crazy weekend in Vegas five days before Christmas! At first, I wasn't to keen on the plan, even after Dan told me that we really would be going for practically nothing. So I told Mom about this "plan" and she got so excited, she wanted to meet us there! Then I was excited! This would be so fun! And, she had a good point... this will be a great way to celebrate her birthday! So, we leave to meet Mom in Vegas on the 19th and then fly with her from there to Seattle to celebrate Christmas with the fam! This will be super fun!
Until next time....
Vegas baby!
